Temporary suspension of the Kabbalah Shabbat Service
It is with regret that as a result of the dissemination of COVID-19, the Directive Board of the Hehaver Association / Ohel Jacob Synagogue decided to suspend the services of Kabbalah Shabbat until Friday, April 3rd (including the same day).
With this gesture, the synagogue intends to fulfill its social responsibility in reducing the spread of the virus that has spread unchecked all over the planet and also wishes to draw the attention of members and visitors that the problem exists and that we have to act in accordance but not falling into denial or panic, no doubt that the situation requires temporarily acquiring some new behaviors and some social restraint.
Trying to see some good side in tis this awful situation: this period will be an opportunity for all of us to light our shabbat candles, which we normally do not have the opportunity to do with going to the synagogue.
The Directive Board will continue to monitor the evolution of the situation and in due time we will inform all members about the continuation or lifting of the suspension.
All best regards,
The Directive Board
