A group of Girl Scouts in the Ohel Jacob synagogue
“We are the Girl Scouts of Mira-Sintra Group 122 of the Scout Association of Portugal, not associated with any specific religion, we were instilled the importance of knowing all religions. We were then curious to know a little more about Judaism and , so last Sunday, April 28, the Ohel Jacob Synagogue welcomed us with open arms to satisfy our curiosity.
More than a simple visit, this time spent there was a great learning experience. Very openly they explained everything about the religion, the origin of this synagogue, all the symbols, concepts and traditions. They still gave us the chance to meet some of the characteristic objects of religion in the synagogue museum, with which we were fascinated.
It was a very enriching experience and a rewarding moment from which we retained unique learning.
We are very grateful to have received us with open arms and have provided us with this fantastic experience. Thank you!”
