As the tradition dictates, our community celebrated another Rosh Hashanah, this time welcoming the year 5779. To all of us, members of the B’nei Anussim community in Lisbon, our guests, who came from multiple parties of the globe, as distant and diverse as Australia, Israel, USA, Brazil and Argentina, decided to share with us the holiday.

In the synagogue, all together, we heard the sound of the Shofar, with enthusiasm. Dinner was later served in the community room, having been privileged the exotic flavors of the Middle East. It was a magnificent moment of sharing and celebration, which the Ohel Jacob community is keen to spread.
