Ends nightfall of Sunday, June 2, 2019
Jerusalem Day (Hebrew: יום ירושלים, Yom Yerushalayim) is a national holiday of Israel commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in June 1967. The Chief Rabbinate of Israel declared Jerusalem Day as a smaller religious holiday to thank God for the victory in the Six Day War and for responding to the 2,000 year sentence of the “Next Year in Jerusalem.”
