Yom HaAliyah (Hebrew: יום העליה) is a national holiday of Israel celebrated annually in the Hebrew seventh month of Cheshvan to commemorate the historical events that took place on the tenth day of the Hebrew month of Nisan (Hebrew: ניסן). The holiday was created to recognize Aliyah, immigration to the Jewish state as a core value of the State of Israel, and honor Olim’s ongoing contributions to Israeli society.
