Tu B’Av

  |
15av 1 - Tu B'Av

  • Work permitted

The Talmud points out that many years ago a tradition had taken place on this date when the “daughters of Jerusalem would dance in the vineyards” and “those who had not yet had a wife would go there” to find a bride. Many weddings are marked on this date to celebrate the meeting of two souls. 15 of Av is undoubtedly one of the happiest days of the Jewish calendar and at the same time one of the most mysterious, since the Code of Jewish Law does not reveal observances or customs for this date.
