- No work is permitted on 31 March -1 April and 6-7 April. Work is only permitted on 2-5 April with certain restrictions.
Passover commemorates the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. During this party the consumption of fermented foods is prohibited and there is an obligation to eat matzah.
