  • No work permitted on April 20 – 21 and April 26 – 27. Work is permitted only on April 22 – 25 with certain restrictions.

 

Pesach celebrates the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. During this festival the consumption of fermented foods is prohibited and there is an obligation to eat matzah. On the first two nights of Pesach the family is gathered for the Seder when the story of the Exodus is read in the Haggadah.
